About PSNO

_As a Personal Support Worker, your work is essential to making Ontario’s health care system function. It’s time for you to be recognized for the outstanding contributions you make every day supporting clients at home, in long term care homes and other settings. Together PSWs are stronger. Together PSWs can make a difference! 

Created specifically for PSWs, PSNO provides access to information, resources and tools to help you do your job better, with more confidence. 

Our Mission

The mission of the PSNO is to help personal support service professionals carry out their work more effectively by offering access to information, resources and tools as well as providing opportunities to connect with a network of professionals in the field.  We want to create an environment to share information and bring issues forward as well as the promotion of best practices and high performance in the workplace.

Our Guiding Principles

The PSNO strives for a recognition of excellence in the field of personal support and is dedicated to improving the overall well being of the workforce, providing appropriate training for the role, fostering solutions for recruitment and retention demands and facilitating access to products and services to the field.

Our Vision

To build a strong, cooperative personal support service sector where providers, managers, trainers and employees are equal contributors to strengthening the profession.
