The Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) invites you to submit a workshop abstract for our Annual Conference Heroes of Health Care: PSWs Power Up! Join us and share your expertise, experience and new ideas with our delegates.
The 10th Annual PSNO PSW & PSW Supervisor Conference is Ontario's largest one-day event designed specifically for the professional development of personal support staff in home care, long term care, community care, hospitals, retirement homes and supportive housing. We anticipate 300 - 350 delegates, including PSWs and PSW supervisors, for a day of outstanding workshops and plenary sessions.
The vision of the conference is to focus on the changing role of personal support work, explore solutions to common challenges and showcase opportunities and innovations in the field.
Workshop topics may include, but are not limited to:
Mental Health Condition –Specific Workshops (Parkinson’s, Muscular Dystrophy, Diabetes, Aphasia, Dementia and Sensory Loss) Care for the Caregiver PSW Leadership and Collaboration Client-Centred Care PSW Supervisors
We also welcome abstracts that may not fall within the topics above. We encourage workshop presentations which include tangible resources and take-aways.
NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE All applicants will be notified by email or phone of the status of their submission. The contact person will be the only individual contacted regarding the submission.
All confirmed speakers will be sent a package including registration information. Speakers will receive complimentary registration (to a maximum of 2 speakers per session) to the conference. Registration includes all sessions, lunch, breaks and conference materials. All presenters are responsible for any and all travel and accommodation expenses incurred.
PSNO will provide access to a microphone, projector and screen. If necessary laptops can also be provided upon request. Additional AV equipment may be available by special request.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE Submissions will be accepted until April 30, 2016.
