Why the Network Matters to Employers
The Personal Support Network of Ontario is a community built on partnerships and cooperation with all organizations – private, public and not-for-profit that provide the services and employ the individuals who deliver frontline services.
By taking part in the network, employers will achieve better business results by encouraging learning, building capacity and improving customer service.
By promoting teamwork, cooperation and a shared sense of responsibility for the wellbeing of the profession, it is hard to deny the practical and symbolic payoffs of building a stronger organizational team within a bigger network of personal support professionals.
It is our hope that as workers and employers learn to address their common concerns and issues on a regular basis, they will begin to experiment with small acts of cooperation and it turn lay a foundation on which larger and more ambitious structures of cooperation can be built.
In order to be able to recruit and retain home and community care PSWs, we need to help profile and support staff to take pride in their work and be recognized for the outstanding work they do every day caring for clients and patients at home and in the community. We hope we can count on your support.
